Meet the Team

Michele Matherly

Studio Owner, Certified Pilates Instructor

Michele has maintained a disciplined fitness routine since 2001. She participated in her first group fitness class in 1996 and spent 2 years working with a Shiatsu Master and Chinese Herbologist in Jupiter, Florida – that later fueled her interest in Eastern body work – exploring energy and healing in the body. She participated in her first mat Pilates class in 2002 and in 2010 began training on Pilates equipment.

Michele has trained with several different instructors to explore the diverse styles of teaching and studio practices. From that experience Michele is bringing to Pandia Pilates, her Malvern Studio, the best practices, routines, and lessons from some of the best Pilates instructors in the nation.

She teaches the Pilates Method with a mix of classic Pilates and contemporary Pilates. Michele puts a strong emphasis on working with her clients to help them achieve their goals despite various limitations that they may have; osteoporosis, injury, tightness, lack of flexibility, motivational factors, etc. She is an advocate for warming up the body properly before working out and being aware of your own body during movement sequence.

The Pandia Pilates experience will enhance your physical self and improve your overall health through personalized fitness, meditation, yoga, aromatherapy and life coaching in ways you never dreamed of.

Olivia Smith

olivia-smithOlivia started her love for fitness and movement at a very young age.  She began ballet at the age of 3 and has been dancing for over 20 years.  During her high school years she was involved in assistant teaching at her local studio and spent summers dancing intensively at a camp in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.  She continued dancing throughout college and expanded beyond Ballet and Modern dance, receiving a certificate in Dance Therapy and completing courses in Dance Composition, Dance History and African dance.  Around that time, she was invited to take master classes with a professional modern dance company in Philadelphia, where she had studied while home on break.  Olivia noticed improvements in her overall well-being after being introduced to Pilates.  She has completed formal training in Mat Pilates and is currently certified in Reformer 1 and Reformer 2 from Balanced Body University. Reformer 3 and Anatomy are on her Summer/Fall agenda.

Olivia leads an active lifestyle working around a farm and walking dogs.  On a good day, she logs 25,000 steps on her Fitbit Zip.  She has to compensate for her sweet-tooth somehow!  She likes teaching when she believes in what she is doing.  She is looking forward to growing as a teacher at Pandia Pilates and believes that mindful movement can truly transform people’s lives.

Nikki Foreman

Nikki-Foreman Nikki is the newest addition to the Pandia studio. She has danced off and on throughout her life, starting with Ballet and Tap at the age of 5, and progressing through gymnastics, cheerleading, Show Choir and musical theater throughout her school years. Her experiences with vocal work leads her to focus on breath control, breathing patterns and flow. By day, Nikki is a computer programmer and brings that precision and attention to detail to her pilates practice and teaching.

Nikki has a passion for the eclectic. She enjoys creating art – from pottery to painting – and participating in meditation, healing and introspective reflection and growth. She is certified in Mat 1 and reformer 1 from Balanced Body, and is a certified Usui Reiki healer.
